About Robin

Moriarty has been our home for over 44 years. I have worked providing services to the citizens of Moriarty for over 25 years while being active in our community as we raised our children here.

Being involved with the schools and extra curricular activities within the community as my children were active in school was a wonderful way to meet more of my neighbors and members of our community.

My husband Joe and I chose to raise our family in Moriarty because we like the small town atmosphere.  Joe grew up in Moriarty and graduated from Moriarty Municipal Schools. Both of our children graduated from Moriarty Municipal Schools as well.

We have every intention of living in Moriarty for the rest of their lives. What happens in Moriarty is of utmost importance for family, neighbors and friends who all live in Moriarty.

Campaign priorities

With many years of banking experience, serving as Municipal Court Clerk and as Utility Clerk and Receptionist at the City of Moriarty, I have learned to be a stickler for accountability and integrity while respecting people's hard earned money.

My passion is fairness to all with no favoritism. I take my responsibilities seriously and am willing to work hard at being attentive to details and accountability.

This is why I am so concerned about what is happening with City Government and I'm willing to get involved and do something about it.

The most pressing issues facing our community are:

  • the current crisis in financial management
  • police officers leaving
  • city maintenance and projects
  • major decisions made without citizens input or vote
  • change is needed

I am committed to addressing these challenges head-on with effective and sustainable solutions for Moriarty.

Long-term vision

Both Joe and I, as well as many members of my family live in Moriarty and care about what happens with our citizen's tax dollars.

My long-term vision for Moriarty focuses on accountability, strategic city maintenance, and qualified, dependable city employees to develop a solid foundation from which the City can grow and prosper.

The goals I will be working towards are:

  • resolution of the financial situation by implementing preventative measures for financial accuracy, dependability and transparency;
  • improve city infrastructure and maintenance by implementing strategic planning, outcomes, and reporting;
  • ensure employees are well-trained and qualified by reviewing job descriptions and expectations as well as implementing regular evaluations for improvement and training as needed.
  • improved governance including changes in status quo
